From Mrs Helen Ampomah, wife of the late Captain. Kofi Ampomah and her children – Kwaku, Asantewa, Kwaduwa, Mansa and Abenaa:

Auntie Vic has always been a very good friend of mine. I can’t even remember or recall when we first met! It must have been over 40 years ago.  She has always been my sister and has treated me as a Big Sister.  Whether in Accra or in London, she would always make it a point to visit me whether here in Accra or at my daughter’s in London and bring me food that she had prepared from home, especially cake.  Nobody has ever treated me this way. She has been the only one who has taken me as a sister and a friend. Now this has happened. It is so unfortunate and I don’t know what to say but being a Christian, I believe in the resurrection. I believe that the Almighty God Jehovah through Christ his Son, will resurrect her and bring her back to life. He alone knows what has happened and He will rectify the whole situation. (Revelation 21:3-5; John 5:28,29).

I am sorry that she will not see these two little ones that she has been looking after grow up and be thankful to God for all His mercies and His kindness. May Jehovah God protect her and look after her until we meet again.  The family here in Ghana and the family in Britain are all very sad about the passing of our dear Auntie Vic. We join you (Kwame, Kweku, Kwesi, Kensema, Akuah and all the grandchildren) in mourning and in prayer. We say goodbye and may she rest till Paradise. May Jehovah God comfort all her loved ones that she has left behind but especially her two youngest grandchildren. May God be with us all.

Mrs. Helen Ampomah, Ghana and UK
