On the boat from Freetown to Tema.

This story began with two strangers meeting on the boat in the early seventies.

MaSusie has already been on the boat for two weeks going to Ghana from Hamburg. Nothing interesting happened in these 2 weeks except boredom and seasickness till the boat got to Freetown.

At Freetown people disembarked and new people came onboard. MaSusie was coupled with a lady going to Ghana for the first time to visit her family.

Unfortunately the boat got to Ghana not on the scheduled time and date, so there was nobody to meet this lovely Lady going to Ghana. MaSusie decided to lodge her. Miraculously the children she was visiting lived in the same neighbourhood, so they were found after a day or two.

As soon as MaSusie and the Adade’s met, there was an immediate bond of love between them and this bond has grown into this family relationship.

We have had lovely and bad times together and today is one of the very bad times. I, John, remember on one of their visits to Europe, I sat down together with them till early hours of the morning, got up and went to work without sleeping the whole night enjoying their wisdom and knowledge.

Mrs. Adade, we all shall miss you, but you have accomplished what you were here to do. You brought joy and happiness into our hearts!

May The Almighty Lord be with you.
